Recap: Paoli Rams vs. Scottsburg Warriors
The Paoli Rams suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Scottsburg 82-32. Paoli was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-15.
Despite the loss, Paoli had strong showings from Carley Higgins, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Jehrico Hopper, who scored 15 points. That was a full 37.5% of Paoli's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Paoli has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Scottsburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Paoli will be playing in front of their home fans against Springs Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Scottsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Scottsburg is ranked 20th).
