Dalton Williams posted a new career-low in walks on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Whitmire is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-3 otherwise.

Williams' strong effort led Whitmire over McCormick and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. McCormick is limping into the matchup having lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season.
