Basketball Recap: Cloudcroft Skates Past Non Varsity Opponent with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cloudcroft). They blew past Non Varsity Opponent, posting a 58-27 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jacob Dodson produced another solid performance dropping a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adlai Gutierrez, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Cloudcroft was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Cloudcroft's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Cloudcroft will welcome Tularosa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next contest, a 60-21 defeat against Spearman on the 6th.
