Basketball Recap: Broadwater Takes a Loss

Broadwater lost against Jefferson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Broadwater Bulldogs lost 58-38 to the Jefferson Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since February 16, 2024.

Cameron Toney was her usual excellent self, going 8-for-14 en route to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals for Jefferson. Those 23 points gave Toney a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryian Eveland, who posted six points and eight boards.

Broadwater's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jefferson, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Broadwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Manhattan Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
