Wilson Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers by a score of 5-1. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Trailblazers back in March, they had to take a 6-5 defeat.

Stevie Cressionnie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Allie Miller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie McBryde, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wilson Christian Academy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2.

Wilson Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trailblazers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
