Basketball Recap: Liam Guthrie Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bear River

Sky View won the last time they faced Bear River and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Sky View Bobcats strolled past the Bear River Bears with points to spare, taking the game 64-50.

Sky View got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Liam Guthrie out in front who went 6 for 8 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Guthrie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Oxborrow, who went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points.

Sky View's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Bear River, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Sky View will head out to take on West Field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Field is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season. As for Bear River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Crest also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 52.4 points per game.
