Heritage Christian Academy lost to Azle Christian back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Lions took down the Fighting Crusaders 46-30. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Fighting Crusaders on their court since February 3, 2020.

Heritage Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Enyichi Ohiaeriaku out in front who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Wes Peters, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and six steals.

Heritage Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The win got Heritage Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Azle Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Azle Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chico at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
