Preview: Meigs County Tigers vs. Sequatchie County Indians

The Meigs County Tigers will stay at home for another week and welcome the Sequatchie County Indians at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Meigs County walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Grundy County 50-8 at home. The result was nothing new for Meigs County, who have now won five contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Meigs County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryson Hiefnar, who rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Hiefnar was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Meadows, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sequatchie County beat Tyner Academy 30-26 on Friday. The win was just what Sequatchie County needed coming off of a 41-7 loss in their prior match.

Meigs County has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.1 points per game. As for Sequatchie County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Meigs County against Sequatchie County in their previous meeting back in September of 2018 as the team secured a 35-0 victory. Will Meigs County repeat their success, or does Sequatchie County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
