Basketball Recap: Lincoln Triumphs

While Lincoln has struggled at home with five straight losses, that wasn't the case on Wednesday thanks to Sadie Adams. The Lincoln Cougars came out on top against the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears by a score of 65-55 thanks in part to Adams, who shot 5-for-8 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two).

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Fairmont Senior, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

The future could be bright for both Lincoln and Fairmont Senior: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Lincoln will look to extend Lewis County's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Similarly, Fairmont Senior will try to hand Liberty their 11th-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
