Football Game Preview: Linden-McKinley Panthers vs. Grandview Heights Bobcats

The Linden-McKinley Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Grandview Heights Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after five games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

Linden-McKinley's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Beechcroft to the tune of 34-0. Considering the Panthers have won four games by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Linden-McKinley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chris Caldwell, who rushed for 167 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries, and Davell Brock, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Caldwell really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Linden-McKinley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Grandview Heights faced off against Chesapeake on Friday. The Bobcats blew past the Panthers, posting a 48-9 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bobcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Panthers are ranked 636th).

Linden-McKinley's record is now 5-0. As for Grandview Heights, their record now sits at an identical 5-0.
