Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mountain View walked away with it. They snuck past the Lyman Eagles with a 31-25 victory on Thursday. The 31-point effort marked the Buffalos' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Lyman's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Anderson, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna France, who had seven points and three steals.

Mountain View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Lyman and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Mountain View has already played their next contest, a 49-24 defeat against Cody on the 7th. As for Lyman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 26-23 win against Lovell on the 7th.
