Basketball Recap: Kane Bridges' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crisp Academy over Covenant Academy + How To Watch

Crisp Academy lost against Covenant Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kane Bridges, who posted 16 points and five boards. Bridges has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Joshua Holder was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Ryan Stevens was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 12 boards for Covenant Academy. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stevens has scored at least a third of the Rams' points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Fisher, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Crisp Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Covenant Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crisp Academy and Southwest Georgia STEM Charter will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Wildcats are facing the Aggies at the right time seeing as the Aggies are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Covenant Academy, they will face off against Windsor Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
