MaxPreps Top 25 Texas high school football scores: No. 3 North Shore defeats No. 25 West Brook, No. 12 DeSoto goes down

Six nationally ranked teams were in action this weekend in the Lone Star State as No. 3 North Shore dominates No. 25 West Brook 54-25; No. 12 DeSoto upset by Mansfield Summit 27-26.

North Shore-West Brook is a Lone Star State Top 25 showdown.

A wild Thursday night on the gridiron in the Lone State saw unranked Mansfield Summit (Arlington) upend No. 12 DeSoto 27-26 in a massive upset.

No. 8 Shadow Creek (Pearland) were challenged as well, but were able to escape with a 24-17 victory over Foster (Richmond).

In the only match-up between ranked teams this week, No. 3 North Shore (Houston) cruised to a 54-25 victory over No. 25 West Brook (Beaumont).

Along with North Shore, five other nationally ranked teams were in action this week as Duncanville, Katy, Allen, Carroll (Southlake) and Longview each won by 24 or more points.
