Basketball Game Preview: South Sioux City Cardinals vs. Buena Vista Bison

The South Sioux City Cardinals will take on the Buena Vista Bison on Friday. South Sioux City is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, South Sioux City lost to Omaha Northwest on the road by a 60-46 margin.

Meanwhile, Buena Vista was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 60-54 to Papillion-LaVista. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Sioux City will have to contain LC Doss as he made an impact in Buena Vista's last game. He went 6-for-12 en route to 21 points along with five assists and three steals. That was a full 38.9% of Buena Vista's points, marking the third time in a row Doss has posted more than a third of the team's points. Brandon Jarmon was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points and five boards.

Buena Vista's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-10. As for South Sioux City, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
