Basketball Game Preview: Kane Wolves vs. Elk County Catholic Crusaders

Kane is 0-10 against Elk County Catholic since January of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Kane Wolves will be playing at home against the Elk County Catholic Crusaders at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Kane lost to DuBois Central Catholic on the road by a 55-40 margin. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their defeat, Kane saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Preston Darr, who posted 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Eric Novosel was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Elk County Catholic put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on St. Marys with a sharp 59-33 win. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 26 points or more this season.

Kane's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Elk County Catholic, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
