Soccer Recap: Coginchaug Regional Triumphs

The Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils beat the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats 3-1 on Wednesday. Allison Booth had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Coginchaug Regional.

Coginchaug Regional has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matches. As for Norwich Free Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coginchaug Regional will face off against Old Lyme at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Norwich Free Academy, they will take on Woodstock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
