Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Eagles vs. Midland Classical Academy Knights

The Trinity Christian Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Midland Classical Academy Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Midland Classical Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Trinity Christian can't be too worried about heading out to take on Midland Classical Academy: they just beat Temple Christian at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Trinity Christian secured a 46-40 W over Temple Christian on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Midland Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against Lubbock Christian, falling 60-32. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1020th, while the Eagles are ranked 240th).

Trinity Christian's win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Midland Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Trinity Christian and Midland Classical Academy were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but Trinity Christian came up empty-handed after a 38-37 defeat. Can Trinity Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
