Baseball Recap: Yulee Comes Up Short

Yulee was the 3-1 winner over Orange Park when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Yulee Hornets fell 5-2 to the Orange Park Raiders on Friday. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Kenny Schweitzer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Evan Deal also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Yulee now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Orange Park, their record now sits at 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yulee will welcome Old Plank Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Old Plank Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Orange Park, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Eagle's View at 6:30 p.m.
