Softball Game Preview: Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions vs. El Primero Lobos

The Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions will square off against the El Primero Lobos at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Luis Valdez Leadership Academy and three for El Primero.

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy fell victim to Latino College Preparatory Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 17-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, El Primero lost 18-4 to KIPP San Jose Collegiate on Wednesday.

Akira Elemen was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsy Munguia, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and one run.

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for El Primero, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
