McClatchy is a perfect 9-0 against Grant since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will challenge the Pacers at 4:00 p.m. McClatchy will be strutting in after a victory while Grant will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, McClatchy was able to grind out a solid win over West Campus, taking the game 7-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

McClatchy saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayeliza Rogers, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double was Rogers' first of the season.

McClatchy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Grant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 16-3 to Cordova.

McClatchy's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. McClatchy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Grant struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went McClatchy's way against Grant in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as McClatchy made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
