Basketball Recap: Franklin Triumphs

Franklin lost to Independence back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Franklin Admirals pulled ahead with a 1-0 photo finish over the Independence Eagles. The one-point effort marked the Admirals' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Franklin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Independence, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Franklin will square off against Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Independence, they will head out on the road to take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence is facing Centennial at the right time seeing as Centennial is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
