Baseball Preview: Lennard Longhorns vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

Lennard is 2-8 against Bloomingdale since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lennard Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Bloomingdale Bulls at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lennard never got on the board in their matchup last Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against East Bay last Monday. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 11-7.

Pablo Garcia looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Matthew Counts, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kevin Hunter, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
