Andrews Osborne Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 24-run drubbing they dealt St. Martin de Porres on Wednesday. The Phoenix's pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 24-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Rhodes put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Garrett Morgan. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

Cesar Rios made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Rios was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jael Matos, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Luis Vasquez was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
