Football Recap: Carter Starts Season with Win Against Kaiser

Carter gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Kaiser Cats 26-6. The Lions pushed the score to 26-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cats cut but never quite recovered from.

The critical scores for Carter came from Drelon Allen, Kharon Wells, Jaiden Mejia, and Andre Clark.

Carter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Marcus Valdivia and Mejia. Carter received some extra help from Clark, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carter is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Don Lugo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kaiser, they will square off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
