Soccer Recap: Wheaton Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Bartlett

Wheaton Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bartlett Hawks on Monday. The game was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Wheaton Academy couldn't quite close it out.

Gabe Stein-Rodriguez and Luke Rodriguez scored both of Wheaton Academy's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Wheaton Academy has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Brother Rice on the 30th. As for Bartlett, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Buffalo Grove on the 28th.
