Soccer Recap: Kirtland vs. Oberlin
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kirtland had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Oberlin The Phoenix 4-1. Considering the Hornets have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
They hit Oberlin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Olivia Pickens (2),
Megan Urbanick, and
Lexi Vosicky.
The win (which was Kirtland's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7-1. As for Oberlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
Kirtland wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Columbia on the 26th. Oberlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
