Heartland's Lincoln Ruybalid recorded the longest rushing play in D1 District 5 (8 Man) this season in his game against McCool Junction last week. Ruybalid scampered for 55 yards on the play and finished with 53 on the day as his team fell to the Mustangs.
Bruning-Davenport/Shickley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Franklin, 60-22. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Heartland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Colton Siebert has thrown for 158 yards this season, while Ruybalid has seven catches for 97 yards. Ruybalid leads the league in rushing with 526 yards.
Two of the top units in D1 District 5 (8 Man) will face off this week when Heartland takes on Bruning-Davenport/Shickley. Erik Wetjen's team's offense has scored 151 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Eagles have allowed only 116 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Huskies take on Bruning-Davenport/Shickley. Heartland is currently in fifth, while the Eagles are in second.
