Shepherd is 1-6 against Hudson since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Shepherd Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Hudson Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Shepherd is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Shepherd's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Cy-Fair by a score of 3-0.

Shepherd saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayci Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Hudson didn't have quite enough to beat Diboll on Saturday and fell 6-5.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Shepherd, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Everything went Shepherd's way against Hudson in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Shepherd made off with an 11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shepherd since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
