Volleyball Recap: Patterson Takes a Loss

If Patterson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Central Catholic last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Patterson came up short against the East Union Lancers on Monday, falling 3-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-20.

East Union can attribute much of their success to Isaac Serrato, who had four digs and four aces. Serrato has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times he's played.

Patterson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for East Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Patterson is set to face off against their familiar foe Mountain House at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, East Union will square off against rival Manteca at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
