Preview: Norris Titans vs. Bennington Badgers
The Norris Titans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bennington Badgers at 6:00 p.m. Norris will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
On Tuesday, Norris didn't have too much trouble with York at home as they won 48-30. Given Norris' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while York is ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norris can attribute much of their success to Grayson Piening, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Piening scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ella Johnson, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Bennington ended up a good deal behind Waverly on Tuesday and lost 54-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bennington has scored all season.
Norris' victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Bennington, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.
