Briarcrest Christian and Houston are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Saints will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madeleine McClure made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. McClure was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Houston's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Briarcrest Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
