            Baseball Recap: Poplar Bluff Mules vs. Jackson Fighting Indians        
        
		
        
        
            Poplar Bluff lost against Jackson back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Mules fell  9-6 to the Fighting Indians. That's two games in a row now that the Mules have lost by  exactly three  runs.
  Bryce Dobbs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. That  stolen base was  his first of the season.  Marcus Tabanera was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Poplar Bluff has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record  this season. As for Jackson,  with the  victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-12.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poplar Bluff will square off against Dexter at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Mules' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 7  runs per game this season. As for Jackson, they will host Fox  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
