Volleyball Recap: West Las Vegas Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Las Vegas can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Santa Fe Indian Braves on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Braves this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss last Thursday.

Tyra Horner paced West Las Vegas' offense, picking up 12 kills. Horner got some help from Ciana Medina and her 20 assists. Medina also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Malie Satete, each putting up two.

This is the second loss in a row for West Las Vegas and nudges their season record down to 15-12. As for Santa Fe Indian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-6.

West Las Vegas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Fe Indian, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Cobre on the 15th.
