Western Michigan Christian took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Whitehall, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Vikings 6-5. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 7-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Western Michigan Christian's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Maat, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Quint Menefee, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Western Michigan Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Whitehall, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
