Del Norte is 7-1 against Westview since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Del Norte Nighthawks will challenge the Westview Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. Del Norte will be strutting in after a win while Westview will be coming in after a defeat.

Del Norte is headed into the matchup without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Mission Hills on Tuesday. Given the Nighthawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Grizzlies are ranked 45th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Westview's offense. They came up short against San Pasqual on Tuesday, falling 5-0. The Wolverines have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Del Norte is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which lines up perfectly with their 11-0 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those six games. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything went Del Norte's way against Westview in their previous matchup back in January, as Del Norte made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Del Norte since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
