Choudrant took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Quitman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Choudrant narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Quitman 2-1. For the Aggies, this counts as revenge for the 13-4 win the Wolverines walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Choudrant is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Quitman's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Choudrant will take on Oak Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quitman, they will challenge Doyline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
