Recap: Brewbaker Tech Rams vs. Montgomery Catholic Knights
The Brewbaker Tech Rams's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 65-39 margin over Montgomery Catholic. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Brewbaker Tech has posted since December 2, 2023.
It was another big night for Kevin Honer, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Brewbaker Tech's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathan Williams, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Brewbaker Tech's victory bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Montgomery Catholic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brewbaker Tech will take on Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Selma presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brewbaker Tech in Alabama (Selma is ranked 110th, while Brewbaker Tech is ranked 268th). As for Montgomery Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Park Crossing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
