Softball Recap: Corbett Cardinals vs. Warrenton Warriors

Corbett extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 2-6 in the process. They fell 8-4 to the Warrenton Warriors. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bella Austinson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Malaya Cannon-Peterson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As for Warrenton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games.
