Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans vs. Ravenscroft Ravens
The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans's three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They came out on top against Ravenscroft by a score of 57-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wesleyan Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Taylor Hawley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with six assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Blythe Cunningham, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Ravenscroft had strong showings from Zoe Adams, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Autumn Campbell, who scored eight points along with three steals. The contest was Adams' 16th in a row with at least ten points.
Wesleyan Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Ravenscroft, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Wesleyan Christian Academy will be playing at home against Calvary Day School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Day School is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Ravenscroft, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Ravenscroft is ranked 96th).
