Basketball Recap: Woodward Beats Clinton for Their Third Straight Win

Woodward entered their tilt with Clinton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Clinton Red Tornadoes 43-29. Given the Boomers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Red Tornadoes are ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodward is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Clinton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

When Woodward and Clinton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Woodward will square off against Pawhuska and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clinton will try to stop Newcastle's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
