After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Seattle, Franklin was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over the Nathan Hale Raiders. This was payback for the Quakers, who suffered a 35-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Franklin's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Nathan Hale, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Franklin is set to take on their familiar foe Lakeside at 12:00 p.m. on the 18th. Meanwhile, Nathan Hale will challenge rival Chief Sealth at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
