Softball Game Preview: Goldendale Timberwolves vs. Kittitas Coyotes

Goldendale is 0-9 against Kittitas since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Timberwolves will welcome the Coyotes at 1:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Goldendale is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Tri-Cities Prep on Tuesday as they made off with a 25-6 victory. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Kittitas never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Cle Elum-Roslyn with a sharp 16-0 victory. Considering the Coyotes have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kittitas pushed their record up to 12-4-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Goldendale, their win bumped their record up to 2-12.

Goldendale suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Kittitas in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Timberwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
