Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eaton walked away with it. They blew past the La Junta Tigers 7-0 on Saturday. The Reds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Eaton got a great performance from Austin Edelmon as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Edelmon has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Everett Edinger was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tito Lopez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Eaton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as La Junta only posted an OBP of .344.

Eaton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for La Junta, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Eaton has already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Basalt on the 17th. La Junta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
