Softball Game Preview: Spurger Pirates vs. Medina Bobcats

For the second straight game, Spurger will face off against Medina. The Pirates will face off against the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Spurger heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They fell just short of Medina by a score of 6-5.

For Medina's part, the team relied heavily on Hallie Kunz, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. With that strong performance, Kunz is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Garcia, who earned one run and four stolen bases.

With the win, Medina broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-8. As for Spurger, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1.
