Baseball Recap: Sinton Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Sinton never let their opponents score on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cornerstone Christian Warriors by a score of 4-0. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kash Wood was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Clay Mitchell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Sinton's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 23-6 record.

Sinton and Cornerstone Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Pirates (ranked 61st) will meet Calhoun (ranked 555th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian will challenge Bo Porter Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (52 vs. 454).
