Volleyball Recap: New Bern Beats West Craven for Their Fourth Straight Win + How To Watch

New Bern waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the West Craven Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

New Bern never let West Craven on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12, 25-19.

New Bern was led to victory by Allie Tuzo and Gabrielle Pidgeon. Tuzo had 12 digs and five aces, while Pidgeon had ten digs. Those five aces gave Tuzo a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: New Bern was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Craven only served four aces.

New Bern's record is now 5-1. As for West Craven, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

New Bern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Coastal Christian on the 28th. As for West Craven, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against East Carteret on the 27th.
