Volleyball Recap: Cristo Rey St. Viator Comes Up Short

Cristo Rey St. Viator was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Moapa Valley Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Cristo Rey St. Viator was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Moapa Valley's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-15, 25-16.

Cristo Rey St. Viator's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Moapa Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cristo Rey St. Viator will welcome Virgin Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Virgin Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cristo Rey St. Viator surely won't give up without a fight. Moapa Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Somerset Academy Losee at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th.
