Recap: Draper APA Eagles vs. American Heritage Patriots
The Draper APA Eagles waltzed into their contest on Thursday with 16 straight wins but they left with 17. They blew past American Heritage 76-42 at home. Draper APA has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 26 points or more this season.
Draper APA's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jazmin Moctezuma led the charge by dropping a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moctezuma has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of La'la Baldwin, who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists.
Draper APA pushed their record up to 20-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.7 points per game. As for American Heritage, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.
