Baseball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

After flying high against North Iberville last Thursday, Northeast came back down to earth. The Northeast Vikings came up short against the East Iberville Tigers on Monday, falling 21-12. The Vikings have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for East Iberville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Northeast will host Southern Lab at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Iberville, they are taking a road trip to take on Port Allen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Port Allen will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
