Softball Recap: South Umpqua Picks Up 14th Consecutive Victory

South Umpqua extended their winning streak to 14 on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 19-4 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Hidden Valley Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 16 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

As for Hidden Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 21-6. They have struggled against South Umpqua recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

For Hidden Valley's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Lesher, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

South Umpqua does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hidden Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Junction City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
